" Hi! I’m personal trainer Mike Coangelo. I’m here at Fit for Life Training Studio in Glassboro, New Jersey. In this clip, on behalf of Expert Village, we’re going to do a single unilateral lat pull down with a twist. What you want to do is you want to approach the handle like so. We’re going to have a seat; we’re going to have our feet out in front of us. We’re going to be looking straight up at your hand. This very important, half way down the range of motion you need to take a twist. So what you’re going to do is you’re going to pull down, twist it, bring it in, come up, pull down, twist it, and bring it in. Now, you’re elbow is going to be behind your back. We’re working one side a time. That’s why we call it unilateral. Our form has to very strict. What we don’t want to do is pull this way because you can put your shoulder in risk for injury. So, you have to use a weight that’s light enough that you can control. Come down, squeeze, return. Now, notice I’m making my twists mid-way through the motion as I come down. Full range of motion coming up. Our repetitions are not rushed. Two seconds on the positive, three seconds on the negative. We’ve got our last 3. Remember, our twist is right in the middle of the repetition. That’s our last one. That’s how to do a single pull down with a twist. "
