" Hi! I’m personal trainer Mike Coangelo. We’re here at Fit for Life Training Studio in Glassboro, New Jersey on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, we’re going to learn how to do a close grip pull-up. What you want to do is you want to get something to stand on to get yourself started. Grab the handles like so, okay. When you angle your back, you of course, don’t want to hit your head against anything on the way up. So, you want to be careful with that. What you want to do is you’re simply going to pull up. You start off, up, squeeze, exhale on the way down, okay. Control the body weight on the way down. You don’t want your arms to drop because you can throw your shoulder out of joint. Don’t go all the way down locking your joints, especially your elbows. Slight flexion in the elbows. I’m going to get two more. Okay, that’s the proper way to do a close grip pull-up. "
