"So as we're getting off in the sand or the loose, you know, we sort of, we know we need to throw our bikes ahead of us a little bit to keep them upright. And then you know, to really get our run going well, what we need to make sure, is that you know looking ahead, making sure that we're not going to run into other people when we start running. Because if we're coming off our bikes, if we're in a group, other people are going to come off our bikes, But as you go to pick up your bike, you want to, you know, get your strides going nice and long. Nice and long. And really you know focus on getting a good solid footing in the sand. Bike shoes aren't very good for running. You know, they're not flexible at all, they're extremely stiff. So usually you know, if you're running at the beach, you know like at 10K race, or you know, just you're at the beach one day and you're running, your foot's flexing all over the place to get traction and to, and to conform. So to really get through sand, relatively easily with, with bike shoes on, you have to focus more on really rocking your foot. You need to throw your heel down and, and jump out. So, you know, make sure you throw your bike ahead of you, to get some speed to pick it up. And then as you start running, really focus on extending your stride and rocking your feet so that you can get some, you know good movement going through the sand."
