"MICKEY DENONCOURT: To make it safely, quickly, happily through a section of rough terrain, you need to be looking ahead. You can't be focusing on what you're rolling over, you have wheels, they're round, they have momentum, they roll over things, your bike has suspension, it's stable, all that other sort of stuff, you're in good neutral body position. So as long as you're looking ahead through a section and not looking at where you're going, you'll ride smoothly, you'll ride well, you stay relax, you look ahead. So as I ride through this section over here, I want you guys to notice like both my head position and just my overall glance, like my head's up, my chin's up, which helps with my balance and I'm looking farther ahead of me towards what's coming up, not what I'm at. And that helps me ride easily through a section that if I was looking down and focusing exactly what I was on, it's going to be pretty hard. So, my back end got kicked around a couple of times, there's some chatter and all that sort of stuff but I was relaxed on my bike, I was looking ahead worried about more what was coming, just letting my bike do what it does. So look ahead, focus on the obstacles coming not the obstacle that you're on because it's too late to even be thinking about it."
