"For the downhill use, you want more sag than that. More than twenty or thirty percent. You could use up to forty percent sag, and, it's the same sort of thing. I'll push down my little zip tie that I use to see how much travel I'm using. I'm going to get on the bike. Because these bikes are so slack, sometimes you get on them and they don't compress at all. So, it's a good idea, for one thing, to cycle them a couple times, make sure you have your dampers set wherever you would normally ride them, and then get on and assume the position that you'd ride in. So this is a very exaggerated version of the position that I'd ride in. But as you can see, I'm getting less sag with this fork than I had on the other fork. And this fork has, like, three inches more travel. And I've only twenty-five millimeters out of my possible 208 millimeters of travel. So, that's not enough sag. So what I'd want to do is I'd want to change the spring rate. So, changing the spring rate is a little bit harder on a coil sprung fork like this than it is on an air sprung fork, so I'll show you how to do it on your air sprung fork because it's consistent across all of them, whereas changing coil spring rate is a little bit harder."
