" Hi this is Mehul Ramchandani and on behalf expertvillage.com we would be demonstrating to you the basic techniques of rowing, which will be demonstrated by Rajil and Shamid who are with me. The first technique for level one is singlehanded rowing. And that technique is where you bend your leg slightly from the front, keep this leg straight as far as possible, keep your back straight, look straight, and hold the weight with your hands. Then slowly raise the dumbbell near your waistline. Let it go down stretching your shoulders. Again bring the bar up and then let it again go down. Repeat this exercise for 10 counts if possible or a minimum of 8 counts. You can relax Rajil. The second techniques is harder than rows should be performed by level two people only. Here you are going to keep a shoulder width stance between your legs, and then bend forward with your back. Keeping your back totally straight in the lower region and bend your thighs slightly. Take a shoulder stance hand grip. At least the distance between the grips should be shoulder width apart. You can keep your hands under the bar like that. Now lifting the bar off the floor you are going to raise the bar to your naval region stretching down. Continue this repetition for at least 10-12 counts depending upon your strength. The weight can be increased to produce strength. This exercise helps the latissimus dorsi muscles. You can relax Shamid. This is a very important exercise for the wings or we can say the latissumus dorsi. Best of luck guys."
