"Hey, Mike Bronco here, Bronco's Gym, Madison, New Jersey, with Holly Bronco. And we're going to demonstrate the first exercise of our weekend warrior workout. It's a squat exercise. Do it slow, controlled, and again, make sure you breath properly: exhale on the exertion. Alright, Holly's going to show you a modified version of this exercise in case you don't have the flexibility or conditioning at this point. So, what Holly's going to do is put her arms straight out for a counterbalance. I'm going to place my hands behind my neck with my elbows out and my chest up. Alright, always a slight gaze upward, feet slightly wider than shoulder width. OK, we're going to inhale, and then exhale up on the squat. Inhale and then exhale. There's two. Three. When I come up and I exhale, I contract my abdominals. And now we're going to go back down and we're going to hold the position. Head is up. Two. Three. Five seconds. Four. Five. Now we're going to come up and explode. One, and down slow. Explode. Two. Down. Three. Four. Five. Now we're going to come down slow and hold again. Keep breathing. Two. Three. Four. Now five fast reps. So it's one, two, three. Not locking the knees out. Five. Good. So there's your squat. First exercise in the weekend warrior workout."
