"MICHAEL LEWIS: Michael Lewis here with Christian Martial Arts. On behalf of Expert Village, we're here to talk today about executing an outboard wristlock. Now we're going to talk about a sort of a variation of the outboard wristlock. It's called the "partiflex." He grabs my wrist. Now to get into a partiflex traditionally, you typically go into an inboard wristlock. You can. There's other ways to get into it but the easiest way is the inboard wristlock. Taking grab the thumb and roll up into the technique. Now from here, his hand is folded in just like an outboard wristlock except I'm coming from behind his body and I have his arm raised up against my shoulder. Also I have cupped my fingers around his thumb. And so to apply pressure to his wrist, all I do is pull back the fingers and push my wrist up against his hand to apply painful technique. To make it even simpler, then take both hands and just push in, straight in. It's a very painful technique. Also finally I can take my thumb, hook around his thumb, pretty much just grabbing the thumb and prying backwards at the same time, 'causes a lot of pressure on the wrist and the thumb at the same time. And so that's a different variation of the osoto gari. It's just from a different angle and it's very helpful and very useful to be able to know how to transition and what angles to use for each technique. It's very, very vital and very important. "
