"MICHAEL LEWIS: Michael Lewis with Yeshua Ryu Martial Arts on behalf of Expert Village. We are talking today about inboard wrist locks, how to apply them, and how to use them for your self defense. Applying your inboard wrist lock from a cross grab. What you have to do is instead of rotating it to where the palm is facing outwards, because that would bring you into an outboard wrist lock, you would rotate it facing yourself when you are doing a cross grab, it flips over, different from the outboard wrist lock. When you flip it up, palm facing yourself, you take your left hand, again fingers in the palm, thumb on the back, pry his hand off and then again take your other free hand and, fingers in the palm, thumb on the back, apply pressure towards his shoulder and then over until he taps. So, when you're doing a straight grab, again you are flipping up away. When you are doing a cross grab, you have to flip up your palm facing yourself. It is very important to practice these techniques from cross and straight grab so that you will be effective in knowing which direction that you need to go in. So that is how to apply your inboard wrist lock from a cross grab."
