"MICHAEL LEWIS: Michael Lewis with the Yeshua Ryu Martial Arts on behalf of Expert Village. We're talking today about arm bars, how to apply them and how to apply them safely. Now, we're going to show you a half wrist lock with a takedown and an arm bar placed all together. He places his hand on my shoulder. Again, the half wrist lock, I'll take my hand, grab, pry up so that the pinkie side of his hand is up and aligned with his shoulder and also vertical. Now, what I'll do is I apply pressure so he goes down to the ground and he'll lay flat on his stomach. And then from here, all I have to do is cross my leg over here and then I keep his arm, make sure to keep his arm straightened out and his elbow locked and all I have to do is apply pressure and an arm bar until he taps. Also from this position, I can also come around with the other leg and stump the face and then apply pressure back to the leg. And that's how to transition into an arm bar from a half wrist lock and a throw, a takedown, and pretty much dragging him down to the ground and just crossing the leg while applying the lock, so a very, very easy technique."
