"Michael Lewis with Yeshua's Martial Arts on behalf of Expert Village. We're going over today how to break boards with your feet. Conditioning your feet is super important because, like I said before, your bones on the top of your foot are very, very sensitive and easy to break. Also, your skin can be very sensitive in certain parts. If you're not use to walking around barefoot on the ground, you know that if you walk across concrete or a rock driveway it hurts a lot. So one thing you can do to begin to strengthen up the bottoms of your feet especially, is to walk around bare foot. Not all the time, also keep in mind cleanliness, you want to keep your feet clean, but say if you have concrete driveway or instead of a concrete driveway you have a rock driveway just practice walking across a few times to toughen up the bottoms of your feet. As far as the top of the feet go you can use a MechWarrior board to strengthen up your feet. MechWarrior board is nothing but a pine board or any type of wood actually, and you can wrap it up with twine or rope. Now keep in mind that how the rope feels, and how soft and how think it is. It all depends on how hard your MechWarrior board is going to be. If I were to use a thicker rope, a thicker rope that is a little bit softer, has a little bit softer consistency with it, then it's not going to condition as much. If you use twine it is a little bit rougher, and thinner and that way your feet will definitely get conditioned faster. But, also you want to do something that's according to your own level. You can have somebody that holds the board and you can kick at the board to condition the top of your feet. But also keep in mind that you're not trying to break the board, you're just trying to kick it hard enough to get it to your foot. The other good thing about holding a MechWarrior board is helping your holder to get experience with the angling the board correctly. So again, to condition your feet you can use a MechWarrior board and also just walk around outside barefoot to condition the bottoms of your feet."
