"Hi! This is Mike on behalf of expertvillage.com. For more information about how to pack a bike, please visit Prairie Path Cycles in Winfield, Illinois or check us out on line at www.prairiepathcycles.com. In this clip, I am going to be showing you how to take off the last thing when you are packing up your bike and that is the handle bars. So you are going to want to go to the two Allen wrenches on the front face plate of your stand and you are going to want to loosen those up by turning the bolts counter clockwise or to the left. A good thing to try to do is turn them equally so loosen up your front one, your top one a little bit and then go down to the bottom a little bit that way it doesn't pull one side of the threads out more than the other and you don't have any chance of damaging your stem or the threads inside. Just kind of work them off together and once they get pretty loose, you can even do it by hand if there is enough of the bolts sticking out. Just make sure you take these bolts completely out and once you have your bolts out, you can make sure your front face plate doesn't fall off. You can just kind of lay your bars down to the side for now and you want to make sure that you put your face plate back on the bolt that you just used to take them out. That way you don't loose them anywhere. Especially something so small like these bolts would be easy to kind of roll around and get lost. When you are putting the face plate back on after you take off your handle bars, you don't need to worry about tightening them down all the way till they are tight; just kind of hand tight them down there so that way they don't come off. Okay so on this bike which is a Hybrid Moore's Mountain Bike, we are going to want to position your bars is on the top so you can kind of tilt them to the side here. You may need to kind of work with your cables around the stem a little bit to get it where exactly you need and before you zip tie your handle bars to your frame, I do also want to make sure you put some packaging material around that because it is going to be up against the side of your frame and you want to make sure not even the handle bars or your frame gets scratched up from the brake levers or anything; kind of just put some stuff around the brake levers here and here on the shifters keep everything well protected. Once you have that done, you can zip tie the bars to the frame itself. "
