"Hi! I’m Madison Warner and I’ve been teaching for over 10 years in Michael M. Foley system of Koden Kan and if you’d like to see more about us and more about our style you can visit our website at h2hctc.com or my website is mellei.com. Alright today I’m going to show you outward block, this is the next block in the series and you’re going to start in the kiba dachi stance, nice and wide, knees bent all the times, okay if I come to your house and I see that you’re standing like this…I’m going to be very upset so bend your knees and again from the side it’s this way…your elbows up, knees bent. Outward block is to the opposite ear this time and you’re going to block outward away from your body, it’s also for a punch coming into the face or of any strike, bring your hand to your opposite ear, block out, you want to keep your elbow in front of your shoulder and your fist level with the top of your head again, at an angle like that…you can reach out slightly over your elbow and that will ensure connecting with the strike okay, opposite ear and block… and to the opposite ear and block…and one more time…very good."
