"Hi! I’m Madison Warner and I’ve been teaching for over 10 years in Michael M. Foley system of Koden Kan Karate-do. Today I’m going to be showing you inward block, again we’re going to start in kiba dachi stance, keep your knees bent and your hands back in this position and inward block is for a punch coming straight in, okay you’re going to bring your hand up to your ear and you’re going to block straight across. So since the punch is coming straight towards you, you need to make sure that you clear your whole face with your arm okay, if you just do half then you’re going to get punched in the nose so bring it up to your ear and you’re going to block straight across, keep your forearm as much straight up and down as possible, you’re going to bring your next one up and block, okay next one up and block. As you get better at this you can go faster and you want to pull this hand back as that one comes across, this is just for training purposes, okay block and one more block, you want to keep your fist level with the top of your head, you don’t ever want to dip underneath your chin cause like I said if you can envision a fist coming in, you know about to punch you you’re going to block that before that, okay that was inward block."
