"Hi, I?m Mandy Butler on behalf of Expert Village, I?m going to be taking you through some backhand spring drills and some techniques to help you on your way to mastering the backhand spring. Now I?m going to take you through a drill called a handstand props. Now I have mention earlier when we were doing the handstand snap down that you have to really block through your shoulders pushing forward rather than bending your elbows. You must shrug your shoulders; that is called blocking. Now this drill is excellent to teach your shoulders how to do that. The idea is to go into a handstand, shrug your shoulders and really align your body and stay in that handstand for a little bit. Feel that tight body position and then step back down to the lunge. This is a excellent builder of shoulder strength and it gets your body really use to that blocking technique. So this is called a handstand prop drill. I?m going to turn to the side and I?m going to go to my handstand exactly as I did in my regular handstand and in my handstand snap down. I?m going to block with my shoulders and really align myself before I come down. This is a handstand prop. I?m going to show you again, I?m going to stretch, step into my handstand and block. Handstand prop."
