"In this clip what we are going to talk about is general beach etiquette. You probably weren't the first person to get into this sport, and there is probably a lot of people, especially at your local launch that have been doing it a lot longer than you. Out of respect for them, and especially for all the beach goers that are at the beach that you are trying to set up, make sure that you eliminate all possible negligence that you could experience when you're putting away your kite, or even if you're just going to take a break, and going to get a sip of water, going to chill, you want to take your bar and wrap the lines. I mean, right here you can see tire tracks through the sand. It's because the police patrol this beach and make sure that people aren't acting dangerously, drinking on the beach, there aren't dogs out here, you have to obey the laws. But, if I leave my lines out here, and I have everything laid out, those are little thin white lines that that guy who is driving that car is not going to see. When he rolls over them, that could get stuck in his wheel-well, snap, and boom I have to drop two hundred bucks for a new set of lines. These are really high tension, powerful lines, and they do not come cheap. So, other things that can cause an issue is if we have multiple kiters out. Never let somebody else set your kite up, but also never cross over somebody else's set up. If you take your lines and put them directly over somebody else's, and then they go to launch, then you're going to have to take about five minutes to untangle that mess that you just created for that person. It's kind of like driving. Not everybody on the road is the safest person out there so you've really got to think of saving your own butt. So out here, not everybody knows what they're doing. They're going to look like it, and they're going to think that they do, but all of a sudden your kite is going to end up flying down the beach because you didn't do a simple task like wrapping up your bar, or you were just kind of ignorant and put your lines directly over somebody else's, and they went to launch their kite and all of a sudden yours got launched instead."
