"First of all in this clip, welcome to sunny St. Pete, Florida. This is Passagrille Beach and, luckily, what I call my front yard because I live right there. The Gulf of Mexico, a perfect place to kite surf. We don't really have the waves here but we definitely have plenty of wind and as you can see, I mean, what a perfect spot. We got glassy waves right now and yesterday we actually just had a solid twenty knots pumping through here. Sick. But, what we're going to really talk about is environment and weather and things we want to look for and especially things we don't want when we're trying to go out for a session. You know, dangerous things that you want to definitely check out for is you want to cross check multiple forecasts before you go out for a session. You want to, like, things like cumulonimbus clouds, you know, big, dark shelf looking clouds, they can cause things like static electricity to build up in the air. So as you're flying your kite, it can actually build up and when you jump and reconnect with the water it completes the circuit and you can actually get shocked. So, anytime you see questionable conditions, highly gusty winds, you know, constantly oscillating breezes so they're just switching directions at a drop of a dime, not the kinds of conditions you want to go out kite surfing in. You know you're going to have plenty of time to do this in your life and you know you're going to have plenty of different sessions you can have, so if you see things that are looking questionable don't even count on it. Like just get off the water, put your kite down, get back inside. So, again, cross check multiple forecasts, look out for dark clouds and you know really go out there if you know it's going to be a solid, you know, consistent wind conditions and you know basically everything that's going to promote a good, safe, fun time."
