"In this clip we're going to talk about basic repairs for the kite. If you have any sort of, you know, a little hole, any sorts of scrapes, general wear and tear, what you're going to do is you're going to use some sail tape, just like this stuff right here. Usually it's provided, you know, when you purchase your kite or it will come with a little maintenance kit. But, any time you see the, you know, the hole, if it's not too big and it's not worth getting a professional repair done where they're actually going to cut it out and re-sew it, then you just wash off the area with just a little water, and make sure there's no salt, sand or dirt or anything on there. Wait for it to dry and then put patches on both sides, just enough to, you know, cover the whole surface area and around where the hole is. And, really important though, you want to make sure it's on both sides. If you put a patch on, and you know, you see the corners are coming up, anytime you want to re-do it, you know, you can just peel it right off, make sure it's clean again, wash it all out, and then just re-apply it. You don't want to put too much on, but just enough to get the job done and make sure it covers the entire repair. So, rather than sending the kite away, waiting a couple of days, you know, this is definitely a quick fix to get you just right back out on the water, not having to worry about the kite just splitting apart on you."
