"MATT VANSTEENIS: Hi. My name is Matt Vansteenis on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to learn how to snowboard the terrain park here at beautiful Mt. Brighton in Brighton, Michigan. All right, in this clip we're going to teach you how to do a backside boardslide. So, this one's nice and easy, as you come off the lip of the jump, you're going to turn your body towards the bottom of the hill, towards the end of the rail. So, when you ollie, you're going to turn, put your board right in between the bindings over the top of the box of the rail or whatever you're hitting, keep your knees bent and look to where you want to go and follow it out all the way to the end. Now, when you get to the end, you're going to turn your shoulders and just ride off clean. So, make sure you keep your knees bent. And on this one you want to try--maybe try it a little bit slower at first, so you can get the feel of the box or the rail or whatever you're hitting and then you can kinda progress up a little bit quicker. So make sure you land flat based, 'cause if you're leaning too far on your toes, your edge is going to dig into the metal or the plastic or whatever you're sliding, you're just going to fall forward. If you lean too far back, you're just going to slide out on your butt like that. So, make sure you land flat based, keep your knees bent and look to where you want to go."
