"The next step you'll be learning is how to idle. Idling is the concept where you have one pedal down, and one pedal up. You're going to be rocking back and forth in that position, so you won't actually be moving anywhere. This is really important if you ever want to learn how to juggle while you're unicycling, or do anything else basically while you're on a unicycle, because it's difficult for people to watch you if you're just riding around in circles. So being able to stay in one place is a really, really important thing to be able to learn. It's also good for parades, because a lot of times they go very slowly, so you can actually stop, and not have to get off the unicycle. So, the concept behind it of how it works is that you're going to have one pedal down and one pedal up. And basically, you're going to be rocking back and forth, and basically just trying to keep the unicycle underneath you. You're going to use that rocking motion in order to keep yourself balanced while you're staying in one place, cause' it's a lot harder to just stay still in one place. So, if you're rocking back and forth you can use that motion to help you. So, you're going to ride, you're going to stall, and then you're going to have one pedal down, one pedal up, and you're basically just going to stay in one place. And that is idling."
