"MADISON CHASE: The very first basic exercise that you need to know is a basic squat. So let's start by, again, getting in proper alignment, making sure those abdominals are tucked in, squeeze those glutes as if you're holding a penny in your butt cheek, and you're going to sit back on your bench and/or your bed and/or your sturdy chair. Now I'm going to turn to the side so you could see that my bottom is just going to graze the top of my surface, okay? So you're going to come down, weight should all be in your heel. You should be able to wiggle your toes. Don't rest on the bench. You're just going to let your bottom barely touch and then you're going to come back up. And squeeze in those glutes on top, squeeze those abs on top. Let's take it down. You're going to let your bottom touch slightly, come up, bring those arms out for balancing purposes, and that is your basic squat. Remember, we're incorporating our abdominals as well for support, to support the lower back as well. So that's the basic squat and let's move on from there."
