" Hi! This is Manny Castro, Exercise Physiologist. On this particular exercise, we’re going to be targeting the whole core of the body. Basically, what the exercise is doing is sliding back and forth on your shoulder blades, while keeping your back nice and straight. Now for this exercise you do not need to do high repetitions because it does require that you hold the position for a certain length of time. I’ll explain as I do the exercise. Basically, what you will do is sit on the ball and you will roll down to your shoulder blades. What you’ll do is walk out with your feet and put your feet above the shoulder width apart and you are going to go out to your shoulder blade and hold that position with your arms out here. You’ll hold that position for about 10-15 seconds. Then what you want to do is roll out to your other shoulder blade. Notice, I’m trying to keep my back as straight as possible. My whole body aligned as straight as possible. You want to do as many as you can do, basically. Then progress from there, as you get stronger. "
