"Hi this is Manny Castro, Exercise Physiologist. In this clip I will demonstrate a strengthening exercise for the shoulder. For this particular exercise all you will need is once again as in the previous exercise a chair with a back on it, just a regular household chair and you will also need either dumbbells, very light dumbbells and these particular dumbbells are 3 pounds each or you can also use half gallon jugs of milk, empty jugs which you will fill with water to adjust for your resistance. Now what you want to do is sit all the way back in your chair with your back nice and straight, your abdominals tight, once again feet are flat on the floor feet are about shoulder width apart, let your arms come down to your side and using a slow count of 3 you’ll come straight up to about parallel to the floor and then hold it for one second and come back down with a nice slow count of 3 again. Once again you’ll complete 8 to 10 repetitions of these and after you complete the first set, you will rest 2 to 3 minutes and complete another set. "
