"Hello! I’m Marc Zee from Arizona Center of mixed martial arts. I’m here to demonstrate the arm bar, used in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I’m here on behalf of expertvillage.com. Go ahead guys. Alright guys. Alright, start on the ground guys. Okay. First off, when a guys takes another guy to mat, the guy that’s been taken to the mat uses what is called the guard. The guard is a position used in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which he can utilize attacks, submissions, chokes, sweeps from. The guy on the top, if he’s an unskilled fighter, he’s usually going to try to strike or try to pound the guy into submission or knock out from the top position. This is where technique overcomes strength and power. The first thing, he’s going to throw a strike down. The guy on the bottom is going to parry that strike to the side. As he parries that strike, he locks onto the Gi, controls the arm. You notice how he moves to a T position where that he can then put the leg over the head, grabs the arm, pops his hips, and dislocates the elbow. Again, he strikes the bottom, parries the arm, controls the arm, moves to a T bone position, kicks the leg over the head, pinches his knees together, and pops the elbow. One last time. He throws a strike, parries the arm, gets a t bone position, leg comes over, knees pinch together, extends his hips, and pops the elbow. That is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu arm bar. "
