"Hi my name is Lucy Spain on behalf of Expert Village here to talk about cheerleading stunts. Now when you're doing your pyramids it's really important to know where you're supposed to be, when you're supposed to be there, and if there's any movement involved. With pyramids, we have so many people coming together to create one thing that it's really important that everybody do their part and pay attention all the time because if one person makes a wrong movement, you're going to have about ten to twenty people that are all going to collapse into a big pile. It's going to be an absolute disaster, so make sure you stay on top of the ball. When you're creating a pyramid, there should be absolutely no talking, first and foremost rule. Now it's either the coach's job or the captain's job to dictate what's going on. You need to make sure you know where you're supposed to be and if you need to get out of the way. Say you're a base holding a girl over here, and when you do a transition from the pyramid, you need to step, give her a push and step out. You need to make sure you're in your exact spot, holding who you need to be. You can't really bump into people. You're going to be in tight quarters, usually about three to six inches in between you, a lot of times touching, or back to back. It's really important if you're on a second level of a pyramid to make sure you pay attention to who's below you and who's on top of you. You've got the most important job in the middle. So basically when you're doing a pyramid, know your job, and make sure the right person is there who can definitely take control of the job."
