"Stretching is important whenever we have a workout. Afterwards, just do a little stretch. It will definitely help you reduce injuries and also become more flexible. We're going to do a few upper body stretches since we were using our arms and we did some pushups and we also did triceps dips. What we're going to do, first we'll stretch our chest. What we want to do is interlace the hands in the back and raise them up. With your feet slightly apart, really relaxed in the legs, just stretch the arms up as much as you can. You're going to go up, keeping the chest up. You'll really feel this stretch in the chest. You always want to breathe into a stretch, just to get oxygen to those muscles. Okay, so that's a chest stretch. Then we'll go ahead and do a back stretch as well. We interlock the fingers forward, and this time we curl the shoulders forward and you'll feel this in your back and shoulders. You really want to concave the chest to roll the shoulders a little more. Also, we'll do a stretch for our biceps. What we want to do is straighten the arm. Bring the fingers pointing toward the floor and I use the other hand to give it more of a flex, and hold this. Really flex the hand until you feel the bicep muscle stretching, and you want to hold it there. Whenever we're stretching, hold your stretches at least 15 seconds. Of course we'll do the other side. Now we'll move to a tricep stretch. With a tricep stretch, just bring the hand back, point the elbow up to the sky, and hold it there. You'll feel the stretch all throughout your tricep. Hold it for 15 seconds. Remember to breathe, do the other side. We just did a nice upper body stretch that goes along with our jump rope circuit."
