"Okay reiterating on what I just went over. This here again is the most important part of you know of carrying or drawing from a holster, is the grip. You know grip means everything. If you don't have a good hold on your weapon, you know that placement means everything. When you clear that holster, you have to be ready to acquire that target. You've got to be able to engage that target in a moment's notice, split second. So if you've got a crummy grip and yoy are like this and you bring it, now you've got to reposition. You've got to take this hand and ward of it off of attack and you've got to hold it while you reposition yourself. That can be easily eliminated by your grip and we know that when we grab it hand high on the back strap and weapon in the hand, three fingers curled naturally around the grip, thumb laying directly on top naturally on the other three fingers, finger along side of the frame. We know this and these are steps. But they are repetitive. The more you do it, the easier they become; second nature. If I am here, need to engage a target, I've got hand high on back strap and I am there. I don't have to switch hands. It's already there, every single time. So therefore, I don't have to monkey around and grab this and go oh I grabbed it too low. Same time every time, hand high on the back strap and curl. You will be on point. That's the technique for the grab. You want your grip or your grab be the same and it stays the same throughout the duration. You shouldn't have to put it over here and reposition it and oh, let me move it down. Once you break leather, you come from the holster and you punch out. You can fire, cover, come to the low ready and do whatever you need to do all in this position. Because why? I have a perfect grip. Why? Because it all started high hand on the back strap. So that is the technique for having a good grip or the grab. "
