Video Transcript

" A good boxer always uses the proper gear to train and to spar. I’m going to show you what the proper gear is for training, the most important thing to do for training is the hand wraps, these will protect your knuckles and protect your wrists. Another thing that will help you protect your hands is of course boxing gloves. There’s bag gloves for speed bags and there’s heavier bags that are insulated for your knuckles to hit the heavier bags and there’s also sparring. You need to have your shoes, you need your boxing shoes, some light weight shoes to help you glide through the ring, and have enough traction to stop and move at different angles at different times. And most importantly there is your cup protector. It protects your hips and your groin suction this is very important because when you’re fighting inside sometimes some punches will slip and you want to be protected at all times. And most importantly too is your mouth piece, you need a mouth piece. There are all kinds of mouthpieces, all types of mouth pieces, this one lets you breathe that is why it has the hole in the middle. There are some that you can get that are rounded completely without any holes for air you just breathe through your nose. There are all types of mouth pieces you just have to find what’s best for you. "
