"Hi! I'm Lucy Spain on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you some cheerleading squad cheers today. We're going to talk about chants and I'm going to demonstrate some that you can take to your squad. The most important part of a cheer is going to be the words. It's really important that you yourself have the words mastered before you go ahead and teach other people. We can't teach someone go bobcats green and gold, and then next time go through say go bobcats gold and green. You're going to throw people off. I know it seems minor, but it's really important. A good way to make sure everyone can learn the words is to type up a sheet of all the cheers you want to teach. If you're a coach this is really good to do. If you yourself are teaching the rest of the members of your squad, you can bring one into. Then we're going to need a collective list of all the words for every cheer. After each girl has the list of the words typed out, we're going to want to stand in a circle or sit in a circle and you start out with small segments. You're going to want to start out with go team go, and then you're going to ask all the girls to retort it back to you. After we have the first segment, go team go retorted back, we're going add in the second line. Bobcats are the best. We're going to need the repetition. It's really important to go over them over and over just by yourself to make sure we have the words down solid."
