"Hi, I'm Lucy Spain on behalf of Expert Village here to talk about cheer leading competitions. When you are getting ready for competition, you definitely want to make sure you got something special when it comes to the areas of hair and make up. Not every girl on your team is going to have hair long enough to put in a ponytail. So if everybody doesn't have the same length of hair for the girls that are shorter hair you can purchase hair extension those are going to look really good when having a really nice ponytail. Another great thing you can do is have squad ribbons which are really going to be important you can put your names on them, put your teams names. It's really nice to have those; it's a little something extra. Now hairspray is going to be really popular at cheerleading competitions we need this hairspray because we need to keep every piece of hair out of our face. It's distracting if you have hair in your face so really need to make sure you keep it out of the way. So always bring with you to your competitions your hair brush and your hairspray now as far as your face makeup is concern. For guys pretty much you are okay the way you are. Most you are going to need is a little bit of powder so when the lights are shining down on you, you don't have a bunch of shine on your face taking away from your facials and your actions. For girls we want to go a little more heavy than regular street makeup. The most important element are to remember are blush, lip color and eye color. A lot of squads will choose to go with there team logo as a little tattoo on there face that is cute you just have to make sure everyone is comfortable with it. You have to make sure everyone matches so go ahead and hire in makeup people if you can afford it in your budget. Mary Kay is a great company to come in. They can pick out colors on everybody in your squad and give you a really great group rate so you guys can look your best on the competition floor."
