"Hi, I'm Lucy Spain on behalf of Expert Village here to talk about cheer leading competitions. Now that you have the competition set, the most part comes in where you get to pick your music for your competition. This is really awesome because the way we start this process is that everyone in the squad can bring in some of their favorite music and recommendations. You can take a listen pick out a favorite part of the song and combine them. If you are doing the music by yourself, you are going to want to make sure you have someone on the squad who has an appropriate mixing program on their computer to get all your music set together. You don't want to do a whole competition routine to one song that is going to be really boring. It's really fun to incorporate styles of music such as rap, pop, R & B, oldies a little something for everyone. Cause you never now who is going to be judging so you want to have a little bit that appeals to everyone. After you got your music, it's also fun to add in sound effects. The most fun sound effects is going to be placed at the proper times. So let's say we got a stunt that hits the very top at this point in the music right then it would be really neat to put a bell, a big pop or boom or snap. It's really cool to do stuff like that so it shows that you are keeping your routine on the counts and all together. Now if you can't make the music by yourself or you choose to hire someone in, just make sure that you have money in the budget to do that. You can hire a professional to mix together music for you but make sure you are in charge of picking out what's songs to use cause you really want the music to reflect your squad as a whole."
