" I’m Kirk Watt on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip, we’re going to be doing the dip. It’s a great exercise for the triceps. You see these machines in almost every gym, anywhere on the planet pretty much. A couple of key points about this exercise is it’s very important that you know how to adjust yourself accordingly, and we’re going to get to that right now. Put your hands on the handles. When you’re ready to go, give yourself a little bit of a hop upward, okay. Interlock your ankles, bend them slightly behind you. Bend slightly at the hip forward and then lower yourself nice and slow down and press yourself up nice and smoothly, as you can see he’s doing. As you can see, the tricep is getting a real, real good pump out of this one. There’s another variation as well as this one. You can straighten up real well, which is going to work the pec muscles as well as the tricep. That’s kind of like a nice little bonus thing. Now, if you’re not used to doing this exercise, please be very careful. It can do some damage to the elbows if you’re not comfortable doing is so please take your time, learn slowly, and when you’re ready to go you’re going to get a great, great pump out of this in your chest and your triceps. Again, about 10-15 reps. Exhaling as you push upwards, inhaling as you go down. Always squeezing the tricep to a maximum when you get to the top. Give me 2 more. Very good. Perfect. Squeeze and come on down nice and slow and release. Allow yourself to rest for about 30 seconds and hit it again. You’re going to love it. It’s a great tricep workout; it’s called the dip.
