" I’m Kirk Watt on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip, we’re going to be doing the cable seated row, real great workout for the back. It works the lats and the upper back area, as well as you’re going to feel a lot in the biceps too. When you’re ready to go, lean forward, grab the grip even; this is a close grip. You’ll notice he’s not going wide grip. He’s going to focus a little more on the closeness of the upper back area as well as, like I said, the lats. When you’re ready to go, pull the weight back by leaning backwards and slightly extend your legs just a little bit, just to get you in position. Make sure you feel comfortable with your feet on the plate holding you in place. Elevate the spine, keep it nice and straight, lift the chest up, drop your shoulders. You’ll notice he’s got his shoulders nice and flat right here. Then when you’re ready to go, we coil the shoulders and pull the weight back in toward your chest, just like that. Exhaling as you pull it backwards, inhaling as you release it out in front of you. You repeat the exercise about 10-15 times. Nice and smooth, just like he’s doing. If you notice, every time he lifts his chest slightly at the very end of the movement, very good. As you can see, to the bicep it’s flexing tremendously in this exercise. You’ll notice it’s a secondary muscle being used, but it will get a good workout as well. Give me about 3 more. Perfect. Really squeeze your shoulders back. Flex. There you go. Perfect. One more. When you’re done with the exercise, bend your knees forward, allow yourself to come forward very slow, let the weight set down nice and even. You want to be safe to that back. That is the cable seated row. If you’d like any information on this exercise, you can go to visionfit.com. "
