"KIRK VICKERS: The next movement again is a dynamic movement, and what we're going to do is we're going to focus on the lower half of the chain or the lower half of movement of the body. We're going to be working on crossing over the midline of the body. This is going to utilize a lunge sequences of moves. If you can't do a lunge--that we talked about earlier on--a good mechanical lunge in good position, this is not something that you want to be doing. This is a little more technical. What we're going to do is we're going to start off, our feet just outside our hips. We're going to step over the midline of the body, keeping our body and our trunk facing forward. As the foot steps straight ahead, both feet should be pointing straight ahead. Step across, we're getting a lot of stretch through the hip area, through the hip and pelvic region of the body. Step up, stop, and then alternate over to the other side. We get a lot of stretch at the ankle, the foot and the hips, a lot of control through the body. Stepping up, we'll go down and back as many as three to four times and as many as 10 to 15 steps with each one. Step up, control the feet. Make sure you're always in control on this particular movement."
