"KIRK VICKERS: The next movement that we're going to do is a little bit more advanced neurologically. And what I mean is the right brain controls the left side of the body and the left brain controls the right side of the body. So when we cross the midline of the body, that's a very important movement for neurologically or in the brain trying to communicate with the rest of the body. This is a good motion to improve that plus it's going to give us some flexibility through the lateral hips, the outside of the hips and through the core area. We also want to pay attention for stability and control of the ankles and the feet. This motion, we're going to step up much like the high knee but we're going to step over laterally, step down and come to a controlled position. Again, step up as high as we can, step it over. Again, speed is not as important. And get into a neutral position. Step up, over, trying to keep the feet as straight as we can. As we go one way, we want to reverse our position and go back the other way. Again, this is a motion that should be done about 10 yards or 30 feet down and back several times."
