"KIRK VICKERS: Our next movement and exercise in our series of core movements with the foam roll is going to be a little bit more challenging. We're going to go now only with the single-leg 90-90 position, and we're going to change our balance point a little bit. We're going to put both arms in the air and we're going to stabilize and hold. One thing that I want to caution you on and be careful of is that you don't get your leg way out to the side. We want it kinda in line with the roll so it's straight up and down. Make sure your position is proper here and your back is flat. We gotta keep that back flat, that belly button to spine position here. The head is down, hold it right here. Some progressions that we can do, we can bring our arms out to the side, change positions to challenge us a little bit more. What we're trying to do is trying to create situations that make it more difficult for us to keep that midsection of our body down on the foam roll. So make sure, again, the activation of those intrinsic muscles, that back--belly button to spine position, hands in the air, we could go both arms to one side. There's a lot of little progressions that we can work off of this. But again, we're trying to work on that stabilizing the whole body as we're on the foam roll."
