"This is Kyle Hovercamp in Skatechurch in Portland, OR on behalf of Expert Village this is a tutorial of how to do a boardslide on your skateboard. In this clip we're going to be talking about how to add style to your boardslides. One way you can add styles is just look comfortable when you're on the rail and when you're getting off of the rail. Just don't be stiffed, it takes a while to learn how to do that you have to practice it a lot just to be comfortable on the rail. Another thing you can do is long boardslides that's pretty stylish if you can balance your boardslide for long distances on long objects. There's different variations you can do out of boardslides; one of them is boardslide defakie, you get into the boardslide and instead of turning 90 degrees so you're facing the way that you were when you got into the boardslide. Turn 90 degrees the other way so you land fakie you can do a backslide or frontslide (skating) another variation is shove it out, so you do a boardslide and your board leaves your feet and does the 90. And you just land the same way you were when you got into the boardslide. Other variations are you can do tricks into the boardslide one of them is kick foot boardslide, and what you do is instead of olling onto the boardslide you do a kick foot, turn it 90 and land on the rails on the center of your board. This trick is really easy to crack your board on so be good at kick foots before you try to do a kick foot boardslide, and then you run off 90 like if you run off a regular boardslide or turn 90 the other way to land fakie."
