"This is Kyle Hovercamp in Skatechurch in Portland, OR on behalf of Expert Village this is a tutorial of how to do a boardslide on your skateboard. In this clip we're going to be talking about waxing. You wax a rail, you wax a curb, this is wax it's just normal wax you can use a candle, this was bought like at a grocery store, usually found like in the can section. It's not very expensive and it works really good when you need to wax something. When you're applying the wax most of the times a lot better to under wax than over wax because you can always go back and add some more wax, it's a lot easier to having to scrape some of the wax off if it's too slick. If it's too slick there's a lot higher of a chance that you might slip out and hurt yourself. So just make sure to under wax it before you put too much on. On a rough surface such as a curb you're going to want to put a lot of wax on because how rough it is it's not going to slide very good. You're going to want to put an even coat of wax over the whole surface of the rail or whatever you're trying to boardslide. You can't just have some wax on one end and some wax on the other end, but none in the middle. Because it will be really patchy and it will slick and stick so just put an even coat, remember not too much. Because it's a lot easier to slip out if you have too much wax and if you go to like a new rail or a new ledge or something check to see how much wax there is and the way you can do that. Is set your board on there and you have to put a lot of pressure because if you have it really light it's going to feel a lot slicker than it actually is. It can be really sticky so you have to put pressure on your board and slide your board across. That's one way you can tell how slick it is."
