"This is Kyle Hovercamp in Skatechurch in Portland, Or on behalf of Expert Village this is a tutorial on how to do a boardslide on your skateboard. In this clip I'm going to show you how to approach the object on what your going to do the boardslide on. There are 3 main things that you want to focus on when your approaching the object. The distance between you and the object that your doing the boardslide on that angle at which your coming at the object and the speed that your going. The first thing you want to focus on is the distance between you and the rail when your to close to the rail you pop your trick you might hit your front truck. If your to far from the rail you have to gap all the way over to it and might not make it and come up short. So just be like a foot away from it maybe it just depends how high the rail is. The second thing is the angle that which your going at the rail kind of be going parallel with it so that once you do the 90 degree turn and get on your still going straight. If your coming straight at the rail you get on and just fly across the rails so you can't do that. The third thing is speed the faster you go the easier it is to slide and the longer you slide on your boardslide. When your approaching the object your going to want to have your back foot on your tail and your front foot right below the front bolts just like your going to do a regular ollie. Keep your knees bent relax have good balance riding up to it and just focus on the object that your going to do a boardslide on keep your eyes on it and then just ollie onto it."
