"I would like to invite you to visit our website at www.teamclarke.com. So will they run, you said 35 or 32 miles tonight? Yeah. Will they run non-stop? Oh yeah. Tonight? Yep. During the Iditarod, I’ve run as far as 85 miles in one shot. 85 miles? How long does that take? 9 or 10 hours. Depending on the conditions. One-hundred years ago 20 miles was a good day. During the Iditarod, we go a 100 or a 120 miles a day and the top guys will go 140 to 150 miles a day. Jeff King after his 24th this year in Takotna went straight to Cripple a 105 or 110 miles. Smacked his dogs a few times. You know. He would stop and take a 10 or 20 minute break here and there."
