"Now, we're going to do a jibe. Jibe is just the opposite of tacking. When you are tacking the bow of the boat goes through the wind. Now were going to jibe and the stern of the boat will go through the wind. The wind is coming behind us now so what were going to do is turn the opposite direction we're going now. As we do this out there I'll be giving the commands of prepare to jibe, and the crew will answer "ready". The minute I'm ready to do the crew I will say "jibe ho". At that instant there Steve will be pulling in on the main sheet. He will bring the main in until it's centered. I will go ahead there and do the jibe then. Jibe, Ready, Ready, Jibe ho. Prepare to jibe. This is a jibe. Jibe ho. I say jibe ho, the trimmer will start trimming in the main, turn with slowly come around. Now I'm going to release the jib on the port side. Beam reach. I did, and now we're headed back up toward to the wind. Before we were headed away from the wind. Kelly, what you?re doing right now is? Trimming in the main. Beam reached. Wind is coming right over the beam of the boat. It's coming over the port side of the boat. We do have tell tales off on the main sail. Ok. We'll have little bit heading back up to a close reach. Trimming the main."
