"My name is Kelli Gant, and I represent Tradewind Sailing and Expert Village, and today we're going to teach you the basics of sailing. Okay, one of the first things that we want to do, is--before we go sailing--is to check out the boat and work on safety. A lot of sailboats are left in their slips, connected to shore power. And we run the shore--the line up along the bow of the boat, down to the back where it's hooked into the sailboat. Plugged in. So the first thing you should--want to do, when the power is on, is to go on board and turn off the power on the boat, and Ed will go aboard and do that. And then when the power is off on the boat, then we turn the power off at the main box, here on the dock, and then we disconnect everything. Okay, now we're going to turn the power off at the main breaker. Now it's off, now we can disconnect the power cord. And where is--? And then Ed is going to be connecting--disconnecting that down here at the stern of the boat. Power cord is disconnected. Oh--! And now we're going to take the power cord and coil it up on the dock, and put it somewhere where other people will not trip on it."
