Video Transcript

"This is Kelly, Rob, Aaron and Adam from South Florida Tang Soo Do coming to you from Muse Art in Hollywood, Florida. Now the important part Tang Soo Do is learning to roll and fall and in particular the reason you want to learn to break falls is in case you are ever pushed or fall, you can do so safely. What we’re going to show you how to do now is the back break fall which I know I have personally used on accident. To start off with as a beginner, you would squat down and you’re going to roll back and you’re going to disperse through force with a slap. The key is to not hit anything vital, like your skull, your tailbone, you’re going to keep your tongue in and instead you’re going to hit the muscle in that part of your body. Try to stay off your kidneys and you’re mostly trained to get on the shoulder blades, but a little bit above this belt line. For a beginner, you would go down and disperse the force with a slap. As you advance, you would go further up and then making sure you don’t hit your head, that head has to stay up. To make sure it really works, you get a couple of friends to help you out. One-two-three. "
