" Hi, I am Kinsey Snyder on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we are going to talk about tending the pin. Let me explain the situation here: you the viewer putting this way, I am going to tend the pin for you. You may not be able to see it on the camera, but we have a break slightly right to left this way, and a little bit downhill. So what I am going to do is, I am going to stay it on the high side of the hole, probably about 2.5-3 feet over here this way. Give yourself some room in between the hole, you don’t want to stand in here like this and trample this down, because you are going to have lot of putts around this area. So try and get away from the hole a little bit, and what I mean by the high side, is, on the high side the putt will move this way, so I am standing this way. The tendency is for most golfers to miss this as it breaks down into here, so now you are getting your feet away from putting back into this way. You may or may not do that, but the tendency is that. So I hold the pin, I grab the flag. Now this is a pretty cloudy day today, so we don’t have to worry about shadows, but if you do have shadows, you would definitely want to keep the shadow off the hole, okay, so just be aware, let your shadow try and get behind you, or off to the side somewhere, but do not let your shadow go across the hole. And as far as tending the pin, if you do this, your opponents or companions will be just fine with it."
