"KEVIN BARRET: Hi. My name is Kevin Barret and I'm here with Expert Village to teach you how to use jumping stilts. Now, I'm going to give you a little back history on what a jumping stilt is. Stilts were originally made for drywall installation and painting in high areas in office buildings and homes. This allowed the user to get two to three feet off the ground and still have the mobility to walk around as opposed to using a ladder. This allowed the user to get three feet off the ground and still be able to grab drywall, hang it up in homes and office buildings, as well as using paint everywhere. Now, these drywall stilts that were originally made for this application are way simpler than the ones I'm going to be teaching you today, which are jumping stilts. These stilts allow you to jump in the air, they allow you to run, they allow you to do amazing feats that you would not be able to do on your own two legs, okay? I'm going to give you a little bit of features on why jumping stilts are great. Okay. First, let me tell you my experience in stilt jumping. It's actually kind of a funny story. About a year ago is the first time I ever had even seen a jumping stilt. I was on--I'm an actor and I was on a Verizon commercial. And in the audition, they asked me if I knew how to use jumping stilts. And I was like, "Yeah, of course I know how to use jumping stilts." How hard could they be, right? I actually ride a unicycle so I didn't think the balance would be, you know, hard at all. So, they called me back for a callback and they actually had rented jumping stilts. They expected me to get up by myself, figure it all out, and go into the audition and jump around and know what I'm doing. So, I went into the audition, I lied and I said, "Hey, here's me. I've been jumping on jumping stilts for two or three years now," which is a load of, you know. So, that's how I got that and ever since then, I booked the Verizon commercial, I bought myself a pair of jumping stilts and it's been downhill ever since then. Now, I'm showing you how to use these jumping stilts."
