"Hi, I'm Kevin Byford with the Ski and Snowboard Schools of Aspen on behalf of the Expert Village. And here we are with our equipment, ready to go. Some of the key features of our equipment. The snowboard--it has a nose and a tail. Generally when you're riding forward, you're riding nose forward. And your snowboard has two edges. They're both made of metal. You have a toe side edge--this is my toe side edge, because my toes are over that edge--and a heel side edge. Also we have a stomp pad. This is where your foot goes when you're getting off the chair and also when you're pushing around to get on the chair. Also, we have two bindings. I have my front binding which is nearest my nose, and my back binding. The key thing on the binding is the high back, make sure it has a little bit of lean on it, and that you have a high back. Secondly, this strap, the middle strap that goes over your ankle--make sure it's secure so that your heel does not lift up. That's a very important part of it. And then you have your toe strap. Just fit it snugly, don't cut off the circulation to your toes."
