"Hi, I'm Kevin speaking on behalf of Expert Village on hiking. Another great food proving carbohydrates would be your pastas. One example that's very portable and very easy to use are your Roman Noodles. Is not to rely heavily on sugars, foods that have a lot of sugar. Sugar is a great thing for instant energy, but the problem with sugar is that along with the boost in energy there's a spike in your insulin levels and when the sugar rush, as it's called, goes away your body begins to get fatigue and very tired because of the insulin levels. So you want to watch that, you can eat a candy bar here and there, but don't rely very heavily on sugars for your diet even though they are very high in calories."
