"Hi, I'm Kevin speaking on behalf of Expert Village on hiking. When you consider how much water that you want to bring, of course again it's the duration of the length of hike that you want to think about. But you also want to consider the humidity, people sweat more in a humid environment, so you need to adjust your water intake appropriately. If you're going to hike more than a couple of hours, you might to seriously think about brining a backpack to store enough water so that you can do an extended hike. Water being one of the most important things that you need to bring with you, you're going to have to bring enough for 3 days if you're hiking 3 days. That is going to pack on tens of pounds to your backpack, that's just the water."
