"JOHNNY MILES: All right. In this clip, what we're going to talk about is properly warming up both mentally and physically for a tournament round or an important round with your buddies at your club. You want to allow yourself 45 minutes to an hour on the range in the practice facility to properly warm up. Again, you always want to start out nice and short. Hit little half shots first. Make sure you can make it go straight for a short distance before you get going to a long distance, okay? Again, short. And what I'll do with my sand wedge is I'll--that's always the first club I'll hit. As I'll hit my sand wedge, I don't know, 10 times with half swings. Maybe 10 three-quarter swings, and then I'll hit four or five full swings. If those four or five full swings are good, I go from the sand wedge to another iron. And I mix it up. One day I'll warm up with the sand, 9, the 7, 5-iron and the next time will be the sand, 8, 6, 4-iron. That way I get some practice time or warm-up time with all my clubs, and I'm not always practicing with the same one. So after I've hit four or five full shots good with my sand wedge, I then take my time. I'll go over get my 9-iron. Now, I won't hit half shots with this so much 'cause I'm already loose. I've hit all my half shots with my wedges, now I've got full shots with my sand wedge under my belt. Now, I'll take a couple of full swings with my 9-iron. And again, I'm going to hit about 10 or 15 full shots with my 9-iron. And once I feel pretty comfortable with it, I graduate to the 7-iron, then I graduate to the 5-iron."
