" Hello, my name is Kevin Winsley and I’m with Offshore Sailing School and now on Expert Village I want to talk to you a little bit about safety on sailboats. Sailing is tremendous fun. It’ll change your life. It’s a whole lifestyle for some people but you got to stay safe. When I go out there sailing as a minimum I’m making sure that I’ve got my life jackets with me. I’ve got the with me if I need them. I’ve got, I’ve got something to make a noise perhaps a whistle. There’s a whole abundance of things that you might want to take with you. To make sure you conform with your local state and federal regulations it is worth contacting somebody maybe like the Coast Guard Auxiliary they will be delighted to help you out and tell you what you must have. Whatever it is make sure you run a few checklists before you leave make sure you have got what you need, be safe because you’re having fun."
